Description IRUKSOL (IRUXOL) ointment 30 g tube:
Structure and Composition iruksol ointment:
1 g ointment contains klostridiopeptidazy A 0,6 ED, chloramphenicol 10 mg, other enzymes in anhydrous lipophilic ointment base; in tubes of 30 g.
Properties ointment iruksol:
Iruksol is a combined preparation with proteolytic and antimicrobial action for topical use. Collagenase - a proteolytic enzyme isolated from Clostridium histolyticum, causing lysis of necrotic tissue, thus contributing to enzymatic wound cleansing. In addition, collagenase stimulates granulation process and does not inhibit epithelization. Collagenase has no proteolytic action on the intact epithelium, granulation, fat and muscle tissue. Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic, active against Gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. Cleansing action Iruksol ointment to the wound in 97% of patients starting with day 1, the effect of the drug for more than 50% of patients develops within 6 days!
Indications of iruksol ointment:
Iruksol used for enzymatic cleaning wounds with ulceration and necrosis (including varicose ulcers, bedsores, burns of grade II and III, with gangrene of the extremities, especially in patients with diabetes), as well as frostbite, with long nonhealing postoperative wounds in including after radiation therapy, in preparation for skin transplantation for treatment of necrotic and septic complications of diabetic foot
Contra iruksol ointment:
Individual hypersensitivity to chloramphenicol and components of the drug, blood diseases (panmielopatiya, hemolytic jaundice), including a history.
Side effects ointment iruksol:
Early treatment may be a burning sensation and pain in the wounds that seldom require discontinuation of therapy. Possible allergic reactions: contact dermatitis, a skin rash.
Interaction iruksol ointment:
It is not recommended to combine with other drugs for local use, as may reduce the efficacy Iruksola.
Dosing and Administration iruksol ointment:
Is applied to the wound area 1-2 times a day bed thickness of 2 mm thick scabs, dry and pre-softened by applying a wet bandage, cut off necrotic tissue removed during dressing changes.
To reduce the irritation of surrounding tissue at the wound edges should be applied zinc paste (or some similar product). Should take into account the likelihood of violations of the hematopoietic system because of possible absorption of chloramphenicol in the systemic circulation.
